Codie had decided to wake up early tuesday morning before school and go for a run. She had been having trouble sleeping for the past few weeks, the past kept haunting her dreams. She was hoping that running would allow her to free her mind and begin to move on. Throwing her hair back in a ponytail she put on her hot pink hoodie and tight black running capris. Slipping on her sneakers, Codie grabbed her iPod before heading out the door. She was as quiet as she could be, she didn't want to wake her grandmother out, she was sure that she would freak out about her going outside alone, but Codie wasn't afraid.
Taking a big breath of the cool air as she stepped outside, Codie smiled. She loved the smell of the air at 5am. Fidgiting with her iPod as she walked down the block toward the boardwalk, she slipped in her earbuds and began running, allowing her mind to escape and think freely.

[/div] DON'T YOU DARE FORGET. I AM ALL YOU'VE EVER WANTED. TAGGED: codie! Makenna needed out of the house. The family had recently doubled in size after her father had remarried and he had somehow found it to be a good idea that they all move into their small flat. That meant one bathroom for four kids all trying to get ready for school at the same time. If that wasn't a nightmare, Makenna wasn't sure what was. So, lately, she had taken to getting up extra early and beating all the others to the bathroom. And today, with no patience for dealing with her step siblings, Makenna had just left early for school.
That had been quite some time ago. She had stopped at the local bakery, picking up a pastry and a coffee and had since proceeded down to the boardwalk. It was too early to go to school yet, so on mornings like today she often came and sat on the boardwalk, just watching the birds or the waves. Normally there was no one out this early. Rodeo seemed to be a town of late arisers. So it was always peaceful.
Today, however, Makenna was surprised as she saw someone running down the boardwalk. An unfamiliar face, which was something uncommon in Rodeo, the girl seemed to be around her age. Makenna leaned forward from where she sat on the rail of the boardwalk to get a better look at the girl. She was curious. It wasn't often that she couldn't at least place someone's face. So, with only a few seconds hesitation, Makenna waved at the person, excited for a new face. NOTES: hope you don't mind me jumping in!
